- Salary range between $1370.88- $1599.85 per week ($71,477.68- $83,416.18 per annum)+ superannuation

Using your experience and knowledge in current NSW environmental legislation, you will responsible for providing advice and undertaking investigations in relation to environmental incidents, ensuring compliance and management of systems and stakeholders in line with regulator requirements.
Key activities of this role include:
- Providing advice and make recommendations with regards to reporting environmental incidents.
- Assisting in the review of the Environmental Management System in line with regulator requirements.
- Assisting in the completion of Environmental Assessments under Part 5 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979
Essential Criteria:
- Bachelor degree in environmental studies or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, combined with ongoing professional development.
- Current Class C driver’s licence
- Demonstrated experience in environmental investigation and reporting.
- Demonstrated experience in Environmental Impact Assessments and the development of Environmental Management Plans.
- Demonstrated detailed knowledge of and experience in current NSW environmental legislation.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting site inspections for identification, assessment and advice on the control of hazards or potential risks.
- Demonstrated practical experience in providing professional environmental advice to all levels of staff.
Desirable Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience in working within and/or developing an environmental management system certified to ISO 14001:2004.
- Qualified Auditor in accordance with AS/NZS ISO 190011 or willingness to obtain.
PLEASE NOTE: The Local Government Act 1993 provides that an employee may be moved from their former position to a new position in the new organisational structure provided that the new position has 'substantially the same duties' as the former position.
In determining what constitutes 'substantially the same duties' consideration will be given to the following factors, with an alignment of at least 80% required to the new role for it to be deemed a lateral transfer opportunity.
